Yidam Vajrakilaya is a wrathful deity, also known as Vajrakumara, is the Buddha Vajrasattva's wrathful form in Tibetan Buddhism. He contributes to the removal of barriers, negativities, and spiritual obstacles and is regarded as a strong and fierce embodiment of enlightened energy. Vajrakilaya practices advanced tantric methods and visualisations, and is linked to the highest class of tantra, the Anuttarayoga Tantra.
He is also a protector deity who safeguards the Dharma and its practitioners from spiritual challenges. Vajrakilaya is portrayed as a skull-crowned deity with three distinct faces with different colours - The middle face is blue, while the left and right fronts are red and white. He has six arms, two of which wield the phurba, two of which each hold one vajra, one of which has a blazing snare, and one of which contains a trident. He destroys demons, which he stands over the obstacles in his way of spiritual growth.
